Unforgettable memory..

Once upon a time during these dates...

Date:  24062009

11.00 a.m  Supposed to be my normal 2nd last pregnancy check up with my doc. My husband and I went in as usual and the doc insert her finger in me...then said “ ok..2 cm open together with some show”.  Show means there’s blood showing that I am due for labor but will take few hours since it’s my first baby...  I was like “ are u sure doc?” cos my due is next week... I kinda like thinking did the doc yg ‘Open’ kan? Hehehe...bengong for a sec...cos I couldn’t believe it...some more I was only on half day leave yet planned to ask for MC for my Transformers 2 at 3p.m...hehehe..

She advised me to come back after maghrib as it’s my first baby and would take few more hours to open up for normal delivery..Alhamdulillah..

But actually my husband and I had booked tickets for Transformers 2 this afternoon in TGV KLCC..as we were thinking that it would only be a normal check up. We were not expecting this at all. So I take the courage to ask the doc on our intention and she gave a GREEN light!! Hahahahaha!!! I was surprised!  She agreed on the basis that KLCC – our house in Setiawangsa –PUSAT PERUBATAN NALURI are not far to each other.

Since there were no pain at all at that time I didn’t feel anything, yet very happy to see Transformers 2...and thinking that I would be on ‘ pantang’ later..so this is my only chance to see movies before being  a mom...I sms my colleague on the news...news that I had 2 cm opened so would not be able to come in the office as I should.  But actually if I wanted to come in I could, instead my hubby and I headed to KLCC!! Wohooo!!!

Had lunch at the KLLC food court...had a fish n chips as lunch and then went in to see movie at 2.30 p.m.

5.30 p.m The movie ended 2 hours later and we rushed home as the contraction is quite frequent now and I started to panic as we are still heading down the escalators in KLCC.. Then paid the car park fees and headed out the parking and hubby thinking hard on which road to exit from the parking so that we could reach home fast. He chose to take AKLEH and to our surprised it’s jam ...yeaahhh.. we had forgotten that today is a working day and the time now was the peak time of people rushing home from work. I started to think all the ‘IFs’..”what if i give labour during jam in the car? How would we call an ambulance? Who is going to help us? ‘’ etc..

7.00 p.m Thank Allah we reached Setiawangsa at about 7 p.m and still managed to stop by buying dinner in front of the Giant Setiawangsa , the stall that sells nasi kukus ayam dara which happens to be my fav meal during that pregnancy. Reached home with the contraction has made its gap, made me calmed. We had dinner and prayed Maghrib and Isya’ and then packed all the necessary stuffs to bring to the hospital.

10.30 p.m  My husband and I left home and headed to NALURI. Reached the room for further checking and had the CTG checking on the contraction. To my surprised it had only open 4cm. Oh my! for that many hours only an additional of 2cm?? Then the nurse sent me in my room at nearly 12 a.m and informed that most probably I’ll be in labour by early morning since it’s the 1st baby and informed to call them in case of anything. I lied down on the bed and hubby taking his time unpacking things to get settled.

Date: 25062009

12 a.m My water broke! It was like a water balloon inside you popped and ‘flussshhh’ the water just drain out and wetted the bed and my pants.  I was like ‘aaaaa?’ how come now? because the nurse just left and said it will be in the morning. Then my hubby reached the room phone & informed the nurse of what had just happened. The nurse came quickly and brought me to the labour room.

Oh yeah...there and then it is all started..the pain, the shouts,  the regrets and all the prayers for a safe delivery. Since it was in the early morning, the doctor was on call, it was Dr Zanariah. I still can hear them calling her by phone and heard conversations like answering to her question on the opening of my contraction and so forth. I guess she would not leave her house until my opening is more than 6cm. Only Allah knows what is in my head at that time as she was on call.

My hubby was always beside me giving his support as every other husband should, in that labour room. During the peak contraction of the birth I heard the doctor has arrived and as she walked in & put her clothes on as a doctor to welcome my child, she asked me to push the baby out.

1.20 a.m Alhamdulillah on the 3rd pushed, a beautiful baby made her first cry out. She is named Nur Humaira binti Mohd Nazry on her 7th day and born healthy at 2.9kgs. As any mother who wishes to give the best for their baby, I also breastfed her soon as she were passed to me.   She had her circumcision on the day we checked out for home sweet home and I was relieved by that as one of a mother's responsibility is ticked.  [http://www.e-fatwa.gov.my/fatwa-kebangsaan/hukum-pemotongan-genitalia-wanita-female-genital-mutilation]

A Beautiful Hadith

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: 'When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between the shroud and the chest of the deceased.

Golongan ibu mengeluh tiada ruang susu anak - Harian Metro 11-May-2010

POTENSI REBUNG MADU - Utusan Malaysia 25-Apr-10
